Hi. I am facilitating a monthly group for health care providers to explore and deepen understanding of the personal impact of direct client / patient work. I envision a small eclectic group ie: psychotherapists, nurses, social workers, acupuncturists, physical therapists, body workers, etc, gathered to be supported and have space to address the connection between care of self and care of others.
- Topics and Focus:Understanding/ and managing emotional overload, vicarious trauma, and daily work stress.
- Dealing with the impact of systems, colleagues, and patient/ family relationships.
- Helping clients and patients understand and navigate the correlation between psychological and physical health conditions. (and more….)
Through creatively designed exercises, dialogue, and the uses of imaginative process, the group will bring forward not yet thought of solutions, and gain more access to ways of caring optimally for ourselves as we care for others.
